EAR WAX

Definition

Partial or total blockage of the ear canal by cerumen deposits, normally secreted by the body to protect the outer ear.

Cause

Signs and symptoms

The presence of ear wax deposits can be asymptomatic for a long time.
It becomes symptomatic when the plug of wax completely obstructs the ear canal and hearing disorders occur by reducing the quality of hearing, clogged ear sensation, feeling of inner noise and possibly pain.

Hygienic-dietary rules

Avoid using sticks to clean the ear often.
