Definition
Infection of the skin to the hair follicle, which appeared due to Staphylococcus aureus infection.
Cause
Staph infection due to:
- Poor hygiene
- Chemical irritation of the skin
- Local trauma through cut, scratch, bite
- Diabetes
Signs and symptoms
Boil appears as a spot of 1-2cm and in a few days yellow-white staining appear on the tip of it, which indicates the presence of pus.
Locally there appear pains, sensitivity and itching. The pain increases with the amount of pus accumulated inside.
The next stage is the spontaneous removal of pus and subsequently healing.
There can be one or more boil in the same area, in general the affected areas are the face, neck and nates, under armpit areas.
Hygienic-dietary rules
- Maintaining proper hygiene of skin
- The local application of sterile compresses with warm water
- Local sanitation with antibacterial soap and water, especially after pus evacuation zone and staying away from dust and other impurities
