Gout is manifested by episodes of pain in the joints, particularly the big toe of the foot.
Pains appear suddenly, usually during the night, and affect the use of joint. Locally there may occur: higher temperature, inflammation of the area, and zones of redness.
Episodes of pain last on average 2-10 days and then they remit for a longer period of time.
