Definition
Infection with the bacterium Salmonella.
Cause
- Infection with bacteria Salmonella, this occurs after: Consumption of infested raw meat
- Not washing hands after contact with animals
- Consumption of contaminated water
Signs and symptoms
In general patients experience nausea first time with abdominal pain as cramps first time. Subsequently diarrhea, watery stool installs and in some cases vomit is present.
Patients also have fever.

- Hydration measures
- Wash your hands whenever coming into contact with animals
- Eat meat and/or eggs properly cooked thermally
