Chronic lung tissue damage caused by repeated exposure to asbestos over many years.
The disease begins to manifest by the appearance of breathing problems after exercise. Then breathing problems get worse over time until they are present most of the time.
Over time there occurs a cough that will not heal, then the patients spit mucus with blood.
Also there is always a feeling of chest discomfort.
Once the disease progresses there appears hoarseness, weakness and possible continued state of chest pain.
