Gastric mucosal injury caused by the presence of gluten in the diet of people allergic to gluten.
The disease occurs mainly in white population since the first year of life or in the range 20-40 years.
Diarrhea containing nausea and bad odor is the first common denominator of those suffering from this disease. Other symptoms include increased number of gas, weight loss and asthenia. There are also times when we can meet constipation, too.
Other possible manifestations are: dermatitis flares (herpetiformis), bone pain or loss of subcutaneous fat under the skin.
