Most often there are the following: impaired quality of brain activity, memory loss, reduction of concentration or loss of thinking and reasoning ability.
In the terminal stages, people with dementia are unable to care for them, forget to bathe, have no control over sphincter (involuntary urinating) and need diapers.
In the final stage they lose consciousness.
