Inflammation of the gallbladder walls (organ which holds the secreted bile by the liver).
Cholecystitis is manifested by episodes of abdominal pain which occur in the upper right, and is usually accompanied by nausea and possible vomiting . Pain may radiate to the right shoulder and back. Patients may also have fever.
These episodes occur after meal and last several hours.
